Mountaire Park Barracudas

Swim Team

The Mountaire Park Barracudas have been competing since 1964. We are proud that we have become a dominant swim team. Though the Barracudas are competitive, our goal for the season is to develop in our children a love for the sport of competitive swimming, advanced aquatic skills, teamwork, and the principles of good sportsmanship. Our objectives are for every swimmer to improve his/her times, to build self-confidence while participating in a competitive physical activity, and to have fun at the same time.

A successful swim team season consists of both time and dedication from parents, swimmers, pool staff and coaching team. While at times it may seem difficult to find the time for everything, always keep in mind that we all must work together to create the most successful and enjoyable swim team season for our children.

All information concerning the upcoming season can be found on the team's website. Frequent communications will also be released throughout the season via email and social media to help keep swim team families up-to-date.

When considering registration, there are a few important items to know:

  • The full pricing schedule can be found here:

  • Swimmers vary in age from 5 to 18 years old as well as ability levels.
  • Swimmers must turn 5 years old by May 31, 2019 - this is in line with the Georgia Parks and Recreation Association, the group that governs the GRPA State Meet.
  • As defined by the Atlanta Swimming Association, swimmers must be able to swim one length of the pool independently and be comfortable in the water.
  • Athletes that are new to the team this year and ages 5-8, will partake in mandatory swimmer evaluations which will take place prior to the start of the season to help ensure safety. If it is deemed that your swimmer should not partake in swim team this season, a full registration refund will be provided following their evaluation.
  • Every swim team family is expected to volunteer a minimum of 4 jobs per season by working the meets, either home or away, or volunteering at other team social events. If you can't commit to volunteering 4 times, please do not sign up. There are no exceptions.

This is going to be an awesome season! We look forward to swimming with you! For more details, please visit the team's website at https://mountairebarracudas.swimtopia.com/. For questions or comments, please reach out to the Team’s Coordinator at mountairepoolbarracudas@gmail.com.
